The story behind
Most of my paintings are very figurative. I like colours and I hate straight lines! I used to work a lot with acrylic but being a modern artist of today I recently discovered ‘digital painting’. This is FABULOUS! I make my paintings using Photoshop CS5 and Painter 12. I love to experiment with all the brushes! I am working on a Wacom Cintiq 21UX which is a pressure sensitive drawing tablet. It is really so much fun to work with! It’s very intuïtive and makes me experiment even more as I did with paint.
When the first part of my painting is ready I have it printed on the best quality high standard printer. The paintings are printed on high quality 340 gr/m² pure canvas and get a satin varnish for brilliance and UV protection. After this I start to embellish it with POSCA markers and I add some GLITTER&GLAMOUR to it. This is the part where I add ‘The Extra TLC’ to my painting…
And when every colour, line and ‘special effect’ suits me just right the artwork is ready to sign! Time to say goodbye ‘to a special part of me’ and hopefully it will make someone else in the world just as happy as I was creating it.
