My greatest inspiration is music, but especially the lyrics. Also texts from old books and letters with handwriting.
The figurative paintings are almost illustrative, white and serene. If you take a closer look, you can see there is a whole world behind her figures, and you can see the layers.
She paints for example on wood and canvas.
You can see that she has a textile background by using ribbons, buttons and other findings, incorporated in the acrylic.
Ingrid is a graduate of the Royal Academy of art of The Hague, specialization Textile and fashion and she is a member of the art society of "De Hoeksche Waard".
She also works on commission.
