`Tree bark` or, `who I am and who do you think I am?`
My recent work is based on traditional drawing techniques.
Outline of the whole concept of these drawings is ones identity. Picture of a shield that one builds and grows around himself to protect him or to deceive others is basic idea.
One is not portrayed as a human being, in order to avoid banality or pateticity ,and is portrayed as a tree, with a tree bark as a metaphor of the picture of himself that one sends to his surrounding.
Is that bark strong or is it weak? Is it still or is it changing? Is it young or old, complex or simple and after all, what is that being that it is hiding like? Is anybody still there?
