Artist Mrs Liesbeth Limburg
Amsterdam, Netherlands | 1948, NetherlandsAbout me
I started my artistic life in the seventies with etching, working with Atelier Buri. Also following a workshop in Bretagne. After a couple of years ceramics got my interest. I followed a course of three years by a professional ceramist. I had an exhibition in the GO Gallery in Amsterdam. On some ceramic objects I started to paint, inspired by painters as Pollock, Brenner and De Kooning. So it was in a way a logical step that I started painting. Before all that I was owner and director of a PR and communication company. Three years ago I sold the business to two of my employees and since then I could devote all my time to painting. Apart from that I studied 4 years art history at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. My interest in art is stimulated by visiting gallery's and art fairs, national and international.
