Weed VC  invests in small companies, that have the potential to grow fast and unstoppable like weed. Weed VC strives to invest in so called "Black Swans in Blue Oceans at Tipping Point". These are all investment terms from textbooks. Maybe that saying can inspire photographers?

Prize

We will jury with our employees and one art expert.

If you are selected as winner we will pay you amout € 250 in return for a one time print at a size of our discretion. NMA will enable the transaction: If you win, you submit  the digital photo of high quality (5 Megapixels minimum) to New Master Artist. They will arrange a one-time print by a professional printer, home delivered to our office. Costs of printing are for Weed VC. If you have a higher quality than 5 Megapixels, please state so in your description. It may influence the jury as we can print your work in a large size.

We prefer art that has expert ratings.

What kind of art do we want?

Artworks should be about (unnoticed or annoying) growth that has the potential for high impact or relevant change. It should symbolize the above explained investment strategy of our company. It helps if you carefully explain your concept, and provide us with good photos. The photos should symbolize more than simply "growth" (not just for instance photos of children). They should have a deeper meaning about growth: see here: Weed VC strives to invest in so called "Black Swans in Blue Oceans at Tipping Point" (These are all investment terms from textbooks, but you could use them to make your photos more interesting to the jury members). You can google what these terms mean.

Requirements

- You original artwork should be 5 Megapixel or more, that you can send to us when you are selected as winner.
- You may upload a lower pixel image to the competition page, plus additional close-ups
- The artworks may be: photos and digital art
- Any artist worldwide
- You may upload a maximum of 10 artworks per artist.
- If you have a higher quality than 5 Megapixels, please state so in your description. It may influence the jury as we can print your work in a large size.
- We prefer art that has expert ratings.
- Obviously you need to be the artist yourself.
- Winning artists have 30 days to deliver the image and requested banking details after being announced a winner.
- We prefer artworks where the artist explains why he or she should win (the so called 'Motivation'.
- We prefer artworks without initials or signatures
