Main tip
The idea is that experts and visitors like to experience your artwork: ... and if possible see more than one picture and a title. They like to discover! They are interested in seeing several photos of your work (like in your studio, the making of...), the story you have behind the work (that can be: why, how, when, for whom, etc), a description of techniques used etc. We offer artists the (optional) tools to describe and show artworks in great detail!

Specific tips
Upload 5 works or more
Experts and buyers want to see your style and really need 5 or more works in the same line/style.
Invite expertsPer artwork you may invite experts to rate your work:
- Choose your experts well: study who they are and how they rate art
- It helps to add a personal message for the expert
To do this, go to My account, My artworks, Invite experts. They will be notified and will see your artwork in a special "invitation-section'. They will have no obligation to rate your artwork. You need to tease them!
Add 3 extra pictures of each artwork- 1 close-up (so you can see the texture of the object)
- 1 from a different angle (also for photos and paintings very useful)
- 1 where the object is in a space (in your studio, on the wall, on a table)\
Remember someone taking you by the arm and telling you: "I have to show you this artwork. Let me tell you something about it." It really helps buyers and experts to understand and connect to your artwork. At NMA you can create this online experience with words (from the artist and experts), photos and sometimes video. All available from a non-intimidating environment: behind your computer.
Get expert ratingsInviting experts for ratings is optional, but highly recommended. How it works:
- Expert ratings give confidence
- Expert ratings give a different viewpoint
- Expert ratings expand your network and visibility
- You can ask experts you know to join & rate your work
We tell people it is not so much about how HIGH your average rating is, it's much more about HOW MANY experts have taken the time to give feedback !
Photography: live object = bestPhotography as an art form is beautiful. However we have noticed it's difficult for people to really experience a photo when it is not yet a real 3D object. How big will it be in my living room? What do the materials really look like? Also it is difficult for an expert to give an opinion on price as the size and materials are not yet known
